The Fountain Group is currently seeking a -------- Lab Technician I for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in -- Somerset, NJ.  Details for the position are as follows:

Lab Technician I
Location: Somerset, NJ
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description

• Perform analytical chemistry testing of preservatives, active ingredients, and related materials in a manufacturing laboratory environment.
• Conduct testing according to established specifications, laboratory methods, and regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze test results and determine material disposition based on specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain laboratory documentation including lab notebooks, Certificates of Analysis, and test reports.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and mobile phases; perform concentration calculations as required.
• Execute calibration, validation, and maintenance activities for laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Support investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results and assist with root cause analysis activities.
• Release materials and results through factory stock management systems.
• Participate in analytical method transfer activities and laboratory process improvements.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
