Laboratory Technician
Job Description
The Laboratory Technician - Environmental Monitoring supports the environmental monitoring program for a cosmetics and over-the-counter (OTC) manufacturing facility. This role focuses on water system sampling, environmental surface and air monitoring, and facility condition monitoring, while microbiological testing is performed by an external contract laboratory. The technician uses strong aseptic technique, follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and maintains accurate documentation to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Work Environment
This role is based in a cosmetics manufacturing environment that operates under GMP, GLP, and OSHA requirements. The position is a first-shift opportunity, typically starting at 6:00 or 6:30 a.m., and supports manufacturing, filling, and related support areas. Work involves routine movement through production and utility spaces to perform environmental monitoring, water sampling, and facility condition checks. The technician works with water systems such as purified water and reverse osmosis, temperature and humidity probes, environmental monitoring plates, and related laboratory supplies. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs and good documentation practices, and offers a long-term, contract-to-hire career opportunity.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
