We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to become part of our team. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $21.75 per hour, with opportunities for overtime on weekends. The position requires working the third shift from Monday to Friday, 11 PM - 7 AM, with additional overtime options on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM - 7 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process finished product samples, perform analytical testing using both instrumental and wet chemistry procedures, and record results using computerized data systems.
Conduct daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned.
Maintain samples of tested products to confirm test results when necessary.
Document results of all testing procedures and promptly notify operations of any required adjustments.
Enter and report data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Understand production processes and provide recommendations to operators to achieve product quality.
Perform light maintenance and calibration on all laboratory equipment.
Maintain ongoing records of testing procedures and input data into the computer daily.
Ensure adequate supplies for testing procedures and notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary.
Compare equipment readouts with standard samples to ensure accurate system operations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, washing and storing equipment as required.
Foster an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
Perform duties safely, utilizing all approved safety equipment and completing all safety certification requirements.
Adhere to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA, and company standards and guidelines.
Preferred Education and Experience
2 or more years of science degree.
Good attendance history and excellent safety record.
Proficient computer skills for lab instrument operation programs.
Familiarity with commercial software applications like Excel and Word.
Experience with lab documentation and operating standard lab equipment (e.g., pH meter, balances, spectrophotometer).
Strong math skills for lab testing calculations.
Previous plant experience is a plus.
Job Requirements
Ability to work on multiple tasks and demonstrate good organizational skills.
Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills and proven housekeeping and sanitation skills.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and accurate record-keeping abilities.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
