Key Responsibilities:

The Lab Test Engineer / Lab Test Technician is a hands-on role responsible for full system testing and validation in a lab environment. This includes building test fixtures, wiring and cabling systems, and performing electrical and thermal testing, including breaker testing under load.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full system-level testing in a lab environment
  • Build and fabricate test fixtures, including wiring and cabling setups
  • Perform electrical testing, including breakers and protection systems under load
  • Conduct thermal testing and diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data and results
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support product validation

Key Skills

  • Strong experience with lab testing and system validation
  • Hands-on ability to build test setups, wiring, and fixtures
  • Experience with electrical and thermal testing methods
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with lab instrumentation and data collection tools
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of hands-on lab testing or test engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience with full system testing in lab environments
  • Experience building test fixtures and cabling systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical or system-level issues
  • Familiarity with safety standards and quality processes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with power electronics systems (e.g., AC/DC, DC/DC converters, inverters, rectifiers)
  • Familiarity with data center power infrastructure, including UPS and PDUs
  • Experience testing high-power or mission-critical electrical systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as UL, IEC, or IEEE
