Scope of work: Definition of the work that will need to be performed?
LabVIEW software development and modification for Chemical Delivery test stands and engineering lab equipment.
Integration of LabVIEW applications with MFCs, valves, sensors, DAQ hardware, PLCs, and other instrument communication protocols.
Development of automated test sequences, data acquisition, logging, reporting, and diagnostic tools.
Troubleshooting, debugging, and validation of existing and new LabVIEW applications.
Support for new test stand development, enhancements to existing platforms, and periodic updates as project requirements evolve.
How much work do we anticipate per month?
The need is project-driven and therefore sporadic rather than continuous.
While monthly demand may vary significantly, support is often required on short notice to address urgent development, validation, or production-related issues.
We anticipate engaging the consultant as needed for critical project deliverables, test stand development activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
Are there any specific skills/things we need- for example must work in SCLA etc.
Strong LabVIEW development experience, including hardware integration and instrument communications.
Experience with test automation, DAQ systems, serial/DeviceNet/Ethernet communications, and engineering laboratory environments.
The individual ideally should be in, or able to regularly work onsite in, Santa Clara (SCLA), as much of the work requires direct interaction with laboratory hardware for communication testing, debugging, and validation.
Long term, development comprehensive "master" LabVIEW framework that could reduce future support needs with periodic updates and enhancements would still be expected as new hardware, products, and test requirements are introduced.
