Shift’s Available:  Days

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 7am to 7pm

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP). 

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

 

  • Works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Provides direct care to patient of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult).
  • Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care.
  • Is responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates, and “Declaration of Paternity” forms.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING


1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current
3. Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent required. (State Specific)
