Job Summary and QualificationsAt Henrico Doctors Hospital the Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides exceptional direct patient care to all patients during the intrapartum period. This team is known in the community for respecting patient choice and preferences and to that extent can provide the lowest intervention birth as-well-as the highest intervention birth for all low risk and high risk patients. The unit assists an average of 4400 births annually and provides 247 coverage with OB Hospitalist CNM Anesthesia services Perinatologist Neonatologist and Newborn Admission Nurse. In addition the team works closely with a Perinatal Nurse Navigator a Perinatal Social Worker and are supported by a 40 bed Level III NICU 21 bed OB Antepartum unit and a 35 bed Mother Baby Unit. There are 2 types of wireless fetal monitoring multiple options to choose from for pain management deep soaking tubs and many other amenitiestools to support the laboring family on their journey.

What qualifications you will needGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing BSN preferredCurrent Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact licenseCurrent BLS certificationCurrent NRP certificationBasic Fetal MonitoringAt least one year of Labor and Delivery RN experience preferred but not required
