Labor & Employment Attorney
Location: Encino, CA
We are seeking a motivated Labor & Employment Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop a broad labor and employment practice while working closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated matters involving public sector employers and employees.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations.
Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, disciplinary matters, and personnel issues.
Assist with collective bargaining matters, grievances, unfair labor practice proceedings, and administrative hearings.
Participate in witness interviews, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
Provide timely, practical legal counsel while maintaining strong client relationships.
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop effective case strategies from inception through resolution.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California State Bar.
1+ years of labor and employment litigation experience (public sector experience is a plus).
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong oral advocacy, negotiation, and communication abilities.
Experience with LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar legal research platforms.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to travel as needed for court appearances, hearings, and client meetings.
