Labor & Employment Attorney

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Schedule: Hybrid flexibility available

Compensation: $170,000 - $225,000 base salary + performance-based bonus opportunities

LHH is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established Los Angeles law firm seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to handle sophisticated employment matters, work directly with clients, and build a long-term career with a respected firm that offers strong advancement potential.

Overview

The firm is seeking an attorney with a minimum of five years of labor and employment law experience who can independently manage cases while collaborating effectively within a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, writing, advocacy, and case management skills and be comfortable handling litigation matters from inception through resolution.

This position offers exposure to a broad range of employment-related matters, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in client counseling and litigation strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in labor and employment matters, including litigation and counseling.

  • Manage cases from initial assessment through resolution.

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.

  • Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery and document review.

  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.

  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace issues, and risk management strategies.

  • Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal guidance to clients.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to efficiently manage case workloads.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.

  • Minimum of 5 years of labor and employment law experience.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Experience drafting substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with public entity law is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $170,000 - $225,000, depending on experience.
