Labor and Employment Counsel

Employment Law Counsel | Princeton, NJ | $175K–$215K + Bonus | Partnership Track

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Counsel to join our Employment & Labor Law Practice Group in Princeton, NJ. This is a rare opportunity for a management-side employment attorney to step into a role with real ownership — build your practice, develop your own client relationships, and grow into a partnership track with a well-established regional firm.

What you'll do:

• Counsel employers on hiring, discipline, accommodations, leave, terminations, and workplace compliance
• Split work between labor and employment, broadened litigation, and business development + marketing initiatives to expand L&E initiatives
• Lead internal investigations involving harassment, discrimination, and retaliation
• Draft and negotiate employee handbooks, policies, employment agreements, and restrictive covenants
• Represent employers in litigation and administrative proceedings — discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour, and whistleblower claims
• Manage matters independently from intake through resolution
• Play an active role in growing the practice group's client base

What you bring:

• J.D. and active NJ bar admission (NY admission a plus, not required)
• 7+ years representing employers/management in employment law
• Strong background in workplace investigations, employment agreements, and compliance counseling
• A proactive, business-minded approach — you want to build something, not just bill hours
• Excellent client-facing communication and independent judgment
