Compensation

$310,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing Fortune 500 companies, emerging growth businesses, private equity sponsors, and other sophisticated employers on complex employment counseling, litigation, and transactional matters.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of labor & employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience advising employers regarding employment law compliance, workplace investigations, employee relations, executive employment matters, reductions in force, restrictive covenants, and day-to-day counseling

• Experience handling employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, wrongful termination, leave laws, and restrictive covenant disputes in state and federal courts

• Experience drafting and negotiating executive employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, equity compensation arrangements, and workplace policies

• Experience supporting the labor and employment aspects of mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other corporate transactions, including employment due diligence and workforce integration

• Experience advising clients regarding Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FMLA, the FLSA, ERISA, and other federal and state employment laws

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
