A premier global law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising innovative technology companies, life sciences companies, emerging growth businesses, and public companies on sophisticated employment counseling and transactional matters.

Ideal Background

1–3 years of labor & employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience advising employers regarding employment law compliance, workplace policies, employee relations, hiring and termination matters, and day-to-day employment counseling

• Experience drafting and negotiating executive employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, offer letters, and workplace policies

• Experience supporting the labor and employment aspects of mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital financings, and other corporate transactions

• Experience counseling clients regarding federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour, leave laws, discrimination, harassment, and employee classification issues

• Employment litigation experience is a plus, but not required

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
