A business law firm serving government contractors and commercial businesses, is seeking a California-licensed labor and employment litigator with 5-10 years of substantive experience to join its Labor & Employment and Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Groups.
The successful candidate will provide advice and counsel to management-side clients, including specific to California law, and serve as first- or second-chair in California state and federal court litigation and arbitration on a wide range of labor & employment and commercial litigation topics. Representative litigation and arbitration matters are expected to include management-side wage-and-hour, meal and rest break, PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act), EEO, discrimination, sexual harassment, restrictive covenant, and retaliation matters in both an individual and class action setting. The successful candidate also may be assigned to work on other litigation matters as part of the firm's nationwide commercial litigation practice, which includes representation of government contractors and commercial businesses in commercial contract, government contract, construction, white collar civil, and other disputes.
Applicants must be able to both lead cases and work as part of a team. The successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication and research skills. Applicants must be admitted to practice in California, and must be admitted to practice in—or eligible for prompt admission to—the District of Columbia Bar. Candidates residing anywhere in the United States are encouraged to apply. Candidates may choose a full-time in-office, hybrid, or fully-remote role. However, the role will require occasional travel to California for litigation matters on an as-needed basis.
