    The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) is seeking detail-oriented, analytical individuals to join the Workforce Statistics Division as a Labor Market Associate.

    In this role, you will collect, review, analyze, and maintain employment and wage data used to produce labor market statistics for Georgia. You will work directly with employers to verify reported information, ensure data accuracy, and support the production of reliable workforce information that helps businesses, job seekers, educators, policymakers, and the public make informed decisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review, analyze, and maintain employment and wage data for accuracy and completeness.
    • Contact employers by phone, email, or other methods to verify, clarify, or correct reported information.
    • Research and resolve data discrepancies and reporting issues.
    • Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve data quality and business processes.
    • Compile, analyze, and prepare statistical data and reports following established methodology.
    • Support special projects, grants, and other division initiatives as assigned.
    • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of assigned work and recommend process improvements when appropriate.
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employers, coworkers, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
    • Participate in training to develop proficiency in labor market programs, statistical methods, and department procedures.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
    • Coursework or experience in economics, statistics, or labor market research.
    • Experience working with large datasets and Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access experience is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of SQL or similar database query tools.
    • Familiarity with economic indicators, labor market information, or statistical analysis.
    • Knowledge of industry classification systems (e.g., NAICS) is a plus.
    • Related professional experience in data analysis, research, or a similar field.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of job-related experience; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Admin Assistant 2 (GST051) or position equivalent.
