GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Workforce Services is seeking a Labor Standards Analyst to investigate, evaluate, and issue written determinations through complex case analysis and independent adjudication of federal and state violations of civil rights laws and wage and hour laws. The incumbent will alleviate the burden on the Court System through informal and formal administrative procedures, including alternative dispute resolution, to resolve violations of State and Federal anti-discrimination and wage & hour laws. The incumbent will exercise considerable independent discretion and judgment within statutory limits.

Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to those with experience and knowledge of Employment Law and Human Resources Management.
Preference may be given to those with Mediation and Negotiation techniques, and interpersonal communications are preferred.

Education:
Bachelors Degree (typically in Business)
Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Labor Standards)
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Labor Standards)

None
