Job Description:

Seeking a Lab Data Entry / Lab Admin to support a high-volume laboratory environment.

This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely data entry of lab results, allowing scientific staff to focus on analysis and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter laboratory test results (e.g., moisture, viscosity, acidity, particulates) into an internal data system
  • Perform sample login and tracking (up to ~300 samples/day at peak volume)
  • Transcribe data from lab logbooks into digital systems with high accuracy
  • Support backlog reduction by managing large volumes of data entry
  • Serve as backup for sample intake/logging as needed
  • Maintain data quality and flag inconsistencies or errors when identified

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related life sciences field OR relevant administrative/data entry experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in scientific data
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Basic understanding of laboratory terminology preferred

Schedule & Details:

  • Monday-Friday; flexible start time between ~6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
  • Day shift hours
  • Contract role (6+ months) with potential for extension or conversion

Additional Notes:

  • This is not a bench/lab testing role-primary focus is data entry and administrative lab support
  • Exposure to lab operations and potential for growth into broader lab responsibilities over time
