The Laboratory Analyst Trainee provides analytical support to the refinery through quality control testing of feedstocks, intermediate and finished products.

Laboratory Analyst Trainee Responsibilities

  • Provides analytical support to the refinery through sample analysis
  • Performs laboratory tests proficiently
  • Interprets and enters laboratory data into the Laboratory Information Management System
  • Operates and maintains laboratory testing equipment
  • Performs periodic inspections on equipment
  • Creates Certificates of Analysis for release of finished products
  • Provides first-aid treatment as needed
  • Maintains a clean and well stocked work area
  • Assists in inventorying and ordering supplies
  • Maintains good working relationships with co-workers and customers

Laboratory Analyst Trainee Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of petroleum products helpful
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong relationship skills, team player
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Above average computer skills
  • Must be willing to be first aid trained
