Laboratory Animal Technician - I (Assistant)

JSG is recruiting for a Laboratory Animal Technician – the selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring the well-being of laboratory animals while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated setting, contributing to meaningful breakthroughs in science and medicine from day one.

Pay $17.19/hour

Required Skills:

• Ability to operate manufacturing and laboratory equipment with proper training
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Basic reading, mathematics, and computer skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with live animals or in a laboratory setting
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and handling biological materials
• Familiarity with hazardous waste management and safety protocols

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills through ongoing training
• Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts and overtime as required

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors and in various environmental conditions
• Must not reside or work with birds during the assignment
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
• Willingness to participate in safety, compliance, and ongoing training programs
