What You Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a clinical laboratory setting, specializing in specimen processing and data management.
- Certified in Phlebotomy with valid credentials.
- Proficiency in laboratory data collection systems and equipment, ensuring accurate test ordering, cancellation, and billing.
- Ability to perform specimen collection procedures with precision and patient care in mind.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle specimen processing and preparation efficiently.
Additional Skills That Would Set You Apart:
- Experience working with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare staff.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in laboratory techniques is preferred.
- At least two years of hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic lab setting.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Phlebotomy Certification.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, with schedules varying and lasting approximately 13 weeks.
- No local candidates within 50 miles; position offers a competitive hourly rate of $24.30.
