    About the Role

    Serve as Biological Technician SME for Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR).

    What You'll Do in Your New Role

    • Assist PI with the safe and effective scientific and administration of the laboratory and supporting staff.
    • Knowledgeable on and experienced in mammalian cell culture; in performing molecular methods (cloning, expression, qPCR, etc); as well as in producing and purifying mRNA and recombinant protein products.
    • Trained in small rodent handling techniques to include blood collection, immunization and dissection.
    • Experienced in good laboratory practices and performing immunological assays to assess immune responses (such as ELISA, IFA, ELISpot,etc.) to support DHA relevant projects.
    • Track and maintain status of supply/reagent/sample and equipment inventories.
    • Experience with writing and revising SOPs, risk assessments and study reports/summaries.
    • Manage notebooks, data files, and perform data analysisusing basic stats or graphic programs.
    • Possession of strong organization and project management skills.
    • Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot.
    • Proven record of oral and written communication.

    Required Qualifications

    • BS in a life science discipline
    • 3+ years research laboratory experience performing immunological assessment assays or a recent Master's degree with a research laboratory component

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience with DoD, DHA, or WRAIR Biologics Research
