    Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions.     Job Description:

    • Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for in-house or reference labs
    • Ensure all samples are handled according to safety and compliance standards
    • Receive and review lab orders for accuracy and completeness
    • Enter lab orders into EMR systems (e.g., OncoEMR)
    • Prepare and send specimens to specialty labs (e.g., Caris, LabCorp, Quest)
    • Maintain lab inventory and supplies
    • Accurately document all lab activities in the patient chart
    • Scan and upload requisitions and results
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations
    • Monitor lab inbox/group email for incoming orders
    • Communicate with providers, nurses, and front desk regarding lab issues
    • Flag incomplete or illegible requisitions for correction
    • Ensure same-day processing of urgent and specialty tests
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab area
    • Follow proper infection control protocols
    • Provide excellent patient service during lab interactions

    Travels to satellite locations and floats to other clinics if needed
