Location: La Jolla, CA

Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Duration: 2 Year+ (Possible Extension)

Summary: My Client is seeking a student assistant for Oncology Research Unit to join their Immuno-Pharmacology drug discovery team.

Requirements

• The candidate will be involved in the performance of routine in vitro assays (ELISAs, Westerns, etc...), cell based-assays, flow cytometry, as well as supporting in vivo studies under direction and supervision of a scientist.

• In addition he/she will be making buffers, reagent solutions, conducting cell/tissue culture, checking inventory and ordering lab supplies.

Qualifications

Qualification &Experience

• The candidate should be at least 2 years away from graduation and have at least one year experience in biology- or immunology-related field.

• The candidate must have strong research ethic, be self-motivated and goal oriented.

• Good communication and organizational skills are essential.

• Previous laboratory experience and basic knowledge of laboratory work such as pipetting and ability to calculate and make dilutions are desired.
