Laboratory Assistant

In this role, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, collecting blood samples from patients, and ensuring timely processing to meet clinical demands. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnostics and patient outcomes, making a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery.
Required Skills:
- Valid and verifiable Phlebotomy Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience, including hospital laboratory settings
- Ability to efficiently move between patients, collecting a minimum of 10 samples per hour
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in clinical laboratory environments beyond phlebotomy
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in clinical laboratory sciences is desirable
- Proven track record of high productivity and accuracy in patient sample collection
Other Requirements:
- Scheduled to work 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Thursday through Saturday, for 13 weeks
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Ability to hold and maintain a valid Phlebotomy Certification
