Position Highlights:
Position: Laboratory Assistant I
Location: Evanston Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
What you will do:
Triage cytology specimen: gross specimen and accession specimen
Process gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimen using various processing and staining techniques
Provide customer support as a technical liaison for the cytology laboratory for inquiries
Support specimen send outs by completing patient sample requests
Maintain a clean laboratory station and work alongside team to manage the inventory, logs, equipment functions, and troubleshoot issues in the laboratory with the supervisor
What you will need:
Education: College degree preferably in science
Certification: n/a
Experience: Lab experience preferred
Unique or Preferred Skills: Laboratory experience preferred
