Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
Location: New York, NY 10065
Duration: 16 Weeks Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support daily laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in specimen processing, phlebotomy, and laboratory workflow support, along with strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures
• Process, prepare, and handle laboratory samples for testing
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, storage, and transport of specimens
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with lab standards
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Support laboratory staff with daily operational tasks and workflow efficiency
• Communicate effectively with internal team members and healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in laboratory processing or clinical laboratory support
• Hands-on experience in phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
