Immediate need for a talented Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist . This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location). Key Responsibilities: Shift: 8-Hour Nights Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (varies) Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week On Call: No Candidate Type: Travel Only (No local candidates within 50 miles) Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier) Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier) Perform specimen collection for inpatient and outpatient populations, including venipuncture. Accurately receive, label, and process specimens following established protocols. Ensure laboratory test orders are correctly entered, verified, cancelled, and charged in the lab information system. Prepare, sort, and distribute specimens to appropriate departments for testing. Maintain laboratory data collection systems and ensure accuracy of patient and test information. Follow patient identification, infection control, and safety procedures. Assist with specimen transport, storage, and tracking. Monitor and restock laboratory supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, nurses, and other departments. Adhere to hospital policies and quality standards. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty Phlebotomy Certification required Strong specimen collection and laboratory processing experience Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment Our client is a leading Consulting Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
