LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, FL
JOB STATUS: Full-time, 2nd shift
Schedule: This position is assigned to second shift.
TRAVEL: Limited; as needed

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a second shift - Laboratory Cleaning Mechanic supporting the LASSO II contract at Kennedy Space Center.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Laboratory Cleaning Mechanic responsible for precision chemical cleaning, refurbishment of functional components, decontamination, and passivation of aerospace fluid systems. This fulltime represented position and work will be performed onsite at the Kennedy Space Center.

Must be able to pass the following KSC-provided physicals:
Fuel Handlers
Visual: Micro-particle Counter
Confined Space
Respirator
Crane Operator
Heavy Equipment Operator
Ability to work as part of a team
Able to work in a clean room environment, enclosed areas and heights up to 500 feet
Able to follow written and oral instructions
Able to withstand stress of repetitive tasks and pressure of critical deadlines
Must be able to read, comprehend and follow prescribed procedures
Computer literate
