6a-2p, 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, 10a-6p

Summary:

This position will provide administrative and operational support to the Laboratory Outreach Office. This role is strictly non-clinical and does not involve direct patient contact. Additionally, this role will support relationships between Catholic Health System Department of Laboratory Outreach Services, internal associates, providers, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associates degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) years in laboratory setting preferred or customer service field preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Possess excellent communication skills - written, oral, interpersonal
  • Clear understanding of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of LIS/HIS and PC-based such as MS Office, including Outlook - required
  • Customer service skills as demonstrated in current or previous job experience, documented training/in-services
  • Ability to handle multiple complex issues under pressure without demonstrating any sign of frustration or disorganization
  • Have the initiative and ability to demonstrate ultimate concern for the customers, anticipating their needs and going beyond their expected levels of service
  • Demonstrated telephone etiquette techniques
  • Working knowledge of most office type equipment including copiers, scanners, fax machines etc.
