Performs clerical functions in the receiving of samples and reporting of laboratory data
## Responsibilities 1
Pickups, transports and orders/ receives specimens with knowledge regarding transporting requirements to maintain specimen integrity and with knowledge regarding age specific laboratory needs of the patient

Performs clerical duties as necessary to process laboratory specimens and reports

Inventories and stocks supplies
Checks, inspects and ensures proper storage and handling

Performs documentation for all tasks performed

Answers phone and assists in the department, as needed

## Qualifications High school graduate or possess a GED certificate
Must be able to operate general office equipment, computers and general laboratory equipment
Possesses a valid driver's license
Must be insurable by DCH auto insurance
Abilities are demonstrated in areas of assigned responsibilities by successful completion of annual laboratory competency testing
Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
