We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to lead the strategic and operational management of a hospital laboratory. The Director will oversee daily laboratory operations, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, budgeting, and technical development to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic testing.

This leadership role is ideal for an experienced laboratory professional with strong management skills and a commitment to operational excellence and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the laboratory department.
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, evaluate, and discipline laboratory staff as needed.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory testing across all service areas.
• Lead technical development, implementation, and integration of laboratory systems and instrumentation.
• Oversee laboratory information systems integration and logistical support.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve laboratory performance and patient outcomes.
• Perform additional leadership duties as assigned.

Requirements Required

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related Health Science field.
• Must meet CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in an acute care hospital laboratory.
• Current certification through an approved agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent).
• Current state licensure, if required.

• Master's degree in an Allied Health specialty, Health Administration, or Business.
• Previous Laboratory Director experience.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Compensation

Salary:$105,000 $155,000 annually
