What You'll Do
Direct technical operations for Molecular Pathology and Cytogenetics laboratories.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of all testing activities.
Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and technical standards.
Oversee quality assurance, proficiency testing, and laboratory performance improvement initiatives.
Lead laboratory staff development, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Collaborate with physicians, genetic counselors, researchers, and laboratory leadership.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, methodologies, and testing platforms.
Support budget planning, productivity management, and operational efficiency.
Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in academic teaching and educational activities involving trainees and students.
What You Need
PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, or related field.
Board Certification or Active Candidacy through the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).
Experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
Leadership or management experience within Molecular Pathology, Cytogenetics, or Laboratory Genetics.
Experience with molecular and cytogenetic methodologies including:
Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
RT-PCR
Sanger Sequencing
Microarray
FISH
Karyotyping
Strong knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulations.
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
