The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the pharmaceutical industry that is looking to hire Engineering Technician in Aurora, CO.
Position Summary:
Provides laboratory equipment service and support, including preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repairs for laboratory instruments and equipment. This role also involves coordinating with third-party vendors, managing maintenance schedules, maintaining documentation, and ensuring excellent customer service. Approximately 60% of the role involves computer-based work, including scheduling, documentation, inventory management, and service record maintenance.
Additional Details:
Pay range: $20 - $28/hour on W2 as per your experience
Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension
Shifts: 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 days per week (some weekends) - Start time 7:00 or 8:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues.
- Conduct post-maintenance testing and calibration activities.
- Coordinate and manage third-party vendors performing onsite preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure completion of preventive maintenance activities within established timelines and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to service activities, dispatch records, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Upload and download required service data to maintain system integrity.
- Manage assigned tools, test equipment, telecommunications devices, and service inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
- Promote training, support services, software solutions, laboratory services, and equipment upgrades when appropriate.
- Complete administrative tasks including time reporting and required training.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and direct stakeholders to appropriate resources when needed.
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training and development programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent military experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Experience coordinating vendors, scheduling maintenance activities, equipment calibrations, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.
- Strong computer skills with experience performing documentation, scheduling, inventory tracking, and service record management.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in a related technical or scientific field.
- Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, or facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Exposure to analytical laboratory equipment and laboratory environments.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and written procedures.
- Ability to work safely around electrical, chemical, radiological, and biological hazards while following established safety protocols.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
