Schedule
- Tuesday - Saturday, 2am-11:00am
- 5 shifts, 8 hours each with a lunch break
- 13-week contracts available
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital clinical laboratory
- Experience with grossing, fixation, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining
- ASCP-HT certification
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC) experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in commercial or reference laboratories
- Advanced microscopy and staining techniques
- ASCP-HTL certification
Job Details
- Target Ratios: 500 blocks/night
- No call or float requirements
- Collaborate with a team of 4 histotechs
Special Procedures and Equipment
- Responsible for preparing tissue sections for pathologist examination
- Preferred experience with Leica Peloris and Tissue Tek processors
Orientation
- 2.75 hours online, 8 hours in person
- Hospital orientation during week one
