Laboratory - Laboratory Assistant

Shift: 5 x 8 Days, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Start Date: ASAP, June 29th (preferred) or July 13th

On Call/Weekend Requirement: None

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Experience as a Laboratory Assistant is mandatory; phlebotomists will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Case assembly and slide delivery to Surgical Pathology and assigned Pathologists.
• Arranging and filing surgical blocks, and assisting with their storage.
• Picking up urgent cases from Surgical Pathology upon request.
• Conducting two pickups daily from Surgical Pathology at approximately 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
• Assisting with changing tissue processors and H&E stainers.
• Helping with arranging supplies and logging them in.
• Performing other duties as requested.
