Position Summary

Assist and perform a wide range of chemical and physical analyses on petrol-fuels and chemicals. Operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions generated by processing industrial or consumer products.

Responsibilities

  •  Work in laboratory environment that may contain chemical odors.
  •  Perform assigned duties according to the current HSE laboratory safety standards.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations while performing assigned duties.
  •  Collect data, document test results, and assist report preparation.
  • Design and conduct experiments simulating field conditions.
  • Maintain and calibrate high-pressure, high-temperature lab equipment.
  • Analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Develop testing standards and protocols.
  • Support product development with testing insights.
  • Perform material compatibility tests with various solvents and chemicals.
  • Computer Skills - Strong background in MS office applications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or from relevant discipline
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Physical Requirement

  • Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety glasses, goggles, etc.
  • Vision: Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception
  • Sense of Sound: 55 decibels, adult conversation
  • Sense of Smell: Able to detect odors
