Perm Medical Lab Technician
Pay Rate:$30.00–$44.00/hour (union position; non-negotiable and based on years of experience)
Position Summary:
Performs clinical laboratory testing to assist physicians in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Perform clinical laboratory testing using standard laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Operate laboratory equipment, analyzers, microscopes, and applicable computer systems (LIS/HIS).
- Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and organized workflow.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, multitasking, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with staff and the public.
Requirements:
- Must meet CLIA-88, CAP, and Joint Commission personnel requirements.
- Associate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent as required.
- Working knowledge of laboratory information systems, automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and pneumatic tube systems.
- Active Oregon state license required.
