Position Details
- Shift: 5x8s Days/Evenings (Days 6am-2:30pm, 8am-4:30pm; Evenings 1pm-9:30pm, 3pm-11pm)
- Years of Experience Required: 2
- Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend
- National Certifications Required: ASCP

- Requested Time Off Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
- Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts at any time for any assigned Aya Candidate without any penalty or obligation to pay Aya for such cancelled time. On-call hours do not count towards the guaranteed minimum hours.

- Blood Bank: ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, Blood banking procedures, Crossmatch-Immediate Spin/IgG, Direct Coombs (DAT), Electronic Crossmatch, Rhogam Screening, Transfusion Reaction Workup
- Chemistry: Arterial Blood gas, Cardiac enzymes, Immunoassay, Review & Interpretation of QC, Specimen Preparation, Therapeutic drug Monitoring, Thyroid testing, Tumor markers
- Equipment: ACL Top, Roche Cobas, Sysmex XM
- Hematology/Coagulation: Automated Instrument use, Manual differential, Fibrinogen, Occult Blood, Platelet Count, Sed Rate Manual
- Immunology/Serology: Body fluids, Rapid test kits general use; knowledge of controls
- Professional Knowledge and Skills: Blood specimen storage, Hazardous materials and MSDS, Proper disposal, Proper labeling, Quality assurance and controls, Transmission based precautions, Venipuncture
