The Rizzo Laboratory in the Department of Medicine, Aging Institute, is seeking a qualified candidate to support critical experiments investigating the pathophysiology of diseases of Aging including Alzheimer's disease, neurodegenerative disorders, and related neuropsychiatric and cognitive co-morbidities. The lab uses preclinical model systems and translational approaches towards identifying disease and symptom-modifying therapeutics for Alzheimer's Disease. The laboratory is also a critical component of the Model Organism Development for Late Onset Alzheimer's Disease (MODEL-AD) consortium and the TREAT-AD Translational Research for Alzheimer's disease Consortium.

Previous experience with colony management of laboratory mice required and wet lab experience including PCR, ELISA, western blot, and immunohistochemistry preferred.

Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
