Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the activities of our automated and special chemistry testing operations. In this role, you will work closely with a team to troubleshoot issues, correct errors, and ensure the smooth functioning of the department. Your leadership will be crucial in managing staff, scheduling procedures, and maintaining high laboratory standards.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very busy clinical laboratory environment with increasing volumes. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with rotating weekends. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
Supervisor will be involved in the automated or special chemistry testing and working with team to correct errors, troubleshoot issues, etc. Oversee activities of the department, distribute/assign work, determine priorities, schedule non-routine procedures Perform supervisory functions for their assigned staff including interviewing, hiring, training and providing staff development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling Perform advanced/specialized tests and other related laboratory techniques. May duplicate work of others to confirm test results. Re-evaluate methodology, make recommended changes and assists in test interpretation. Determine if further testing should be done on samples or if test should be repeated. Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy. Initiate quality-control measures and monitor quality of work for adherence to laboratory standards. Completes special projects as requested - surveys, statistical reports, studies, research, etc. Complete training and competency checklists Adheres to all established CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and laboratory safety requirements Participate in government or regulatory agency inspections
