Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily operations of assigned area.
- Assists in training, orienting, and evaluating staff.
- May document competency of employees and provide feedback to appropriate managers and/or supervisors regarding progress.
- Performs routine and/or specialized testing and procedures with supervision as appropriate.
- Performs a variety of duties at progressively greater skill levels under varying degrees of supervision, records results. May operate a variety of laboratory instruments.
- Interacts with vendors and customers to receive or disseminate information, as necessary
- Develops and reviews procedures in accordance with established laboratory practice.
- Enters or retrieves data from established computer files.
