Join MD Anderson's CORE (Chemistry) department as a Laboratory Technician and play an important role in the laboratory processes that support timely and accurate patient results. You'll work in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment where specimen integrity, quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential to supporting patient care.
What's in it for you? This role offers the opportunity to build and apply your laboratory expertise across a broad range of operational responsibilities. You'll receive and process specimens, evaluate specimen integrity, maintain quality control and regulatory documentation, support inventory and purchasing activities, and develop proficiency with laboratory systems and processes. You'll also gain valuable experience with CAP/CLIA regulatory audits and compliance, providing exposure to the quality standards that help ensure a high-performing laboratory.
You'll be an important part of keeping daily operations running efficiently, prioritizing workflow to meet productivity goals while troubleshooting issues and communicating effectively with coworkers, customers, and vendors. With opportunities to take ownership of responsibilities such as Kronos timekeeping, purchasing, regulatory documentation, and vendor follow-up, you'll contribute beyond routine specimen processing and become a valuable resource to the team.
At MD Anderson, you'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, an annual merit increase program, annual incentive opportunities, an employer-funded pension contribution, medical/dental/vision coverage, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
If you're a detail-oriented laboratory professional who enjoys a combination of technical work, problem-solving, quality, and teamwork, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting patient care at MD Anderson.
