JSG is recruiting a Laboratory Technician, a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of advanced materials and electronic components. This is a contract assignment with our client in Durham NC. You'll work in a dynamic environment, utilizing cutting-edge equipment to perform precise testing, data analysis, and reporting that directly impacts product excellence and safety.

Pay $24/hour

Required Skills:
  • Associates degree or technical certification in Electronics or related fields
  • Experience with lab-based equipment such as RF test gear, Vector Network analyzers, optical microscopes, and mechanical testing tools
  • Fundamental understanding of electronic theory and material testing processes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed SOPs and instructions
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Familiarity with controlled impedance measurements and thermal conductivity testing
  • Light manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience with data logging and report creation
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • An associates or technical certification in Electronics or a related technical field
  • Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory or quality control environment
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to carry out multi-step testing procedures
  • Willingness to maintain and troubleshoot electronic and process analytical equipment
  • Flexibility with work hours (Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with some flexibility)
