Laboratory Technician -- Fort Myers (FL)

Lab Technician

Pay Rate: $19.57/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Position Type: Full Time; Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support active projects by evaluating test panels, managing and validating data, and creating reports to help project teams maintain timelines and meet workload demands.

This position is a strong fit for someone who is organized, comfortable working with technical information and data, and able to balance hands-on technician responsibilities with computer-based documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate test panels and accurately document results and observations.
• Collect, organize, review, and validate project and testing data.
• Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and trackers using Microsoft Excel.
• Enter, update, and manage information within web-based systems.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records.
• Assist project teams with administrative and technical tasks as needed.
• Monitor assigned work to help ensure project timelines and deadlines are met.
• Communicate discrepancies, missing information, or testing concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Follow established procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous technician, laboratory, testing, quality, or data-related experience.
• Experience documenting test results or maintaining technical records.
• Experience creating Excel reports, spreadsheets, or data trackers.
• Familiarity with web-based data-management or project-tracking systems.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately evaluate information and maintain clear documentation. Someone with previous laboratory or technician experience who is also comfortable working extensively with Excel, data, and reporting would be especially well suited for this opportunity.
