Position Summary
The Contract Technician actively participates on teams that deliver technical solutions with a significant impact on the residential roofing business. This role supports business success by operating the shingle prototype line, assisting with process equipment development, and conducting product testing to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity within roofing operations.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Experience in R&D, Quality Control, Product Testing, New Product Development, or Quality Assurance.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to analyze issues, develop solutions, and make decisions in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous forklift experience or willingness to be trained and certified.
