Job Description
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our biotechnology team supporting research in novel plant breeding methods. The ideal candidate will have experience in plant tissue culture, sterile technique, and data documentation and a proven ability to execute experiments, analyze results, and maintain a safe laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process samples under sterile laboratory conditions.
- Measure, image, and analyze experimental results.
- Coordinate sampling and prepare samples as needed.
- Execute plant tissue culture work, including plant transformation, plant propagation, and analytical assays of plant tissue samples.
- Maintain a safe work environment using aseptic, sterile techniques.
- Document experimental details, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Record pertinent information in proprietary and standard software applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or equivalent education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with plant tissue culture and sterile technique.
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail for repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work well in teams and independently with effective time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Plant transformation experience in classroom or industry settings.
