We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our Research & Development team. You will support the formulation, testing, and development of innovative shampoo and hair care products. Key Responsibilities Compound batches: Prepare prototype shampoo formulas following specific laboratory batch records.
Test parameters: Measure pH, viscosity, density, and solid content of experimental batches. Maintain inventory: Track raw materials, chemicals, and laboratory supplies to ensure zero downtime.
Calibrate equipment: Operate and maintain mixers, viscometers, pH meters, and laboratory scales. Document results: Record precise experimental data, stability observations, and test results in lab notebooks.
Evaluate stability: Monitor product samples under various temperature and light conditions over time.
Clean workspace: Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized laboratory environment according to safety protocols.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.
Primary Responsibilities: - Optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference.
Responsible for handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager.
Receive, label and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue etc.)
Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings - Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods
Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions - Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility - Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies - Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
Education: Degree in related discipline (Chemistry, Biology, ect) and/or equivalent work experience - Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials and substances.
Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, ability to create and analyze statistical calculations and prepare reports required
