Laboratory Technician

Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Minneapolis, MN

• Shift hours: 8 AM to 4:30 PM
• \n
• Will interviews be via Teams or in person? In-person
• \n
• Hourly Pay rate: $21.63/hr
• \n
• 6 month contract (may be extended/converted)
• \n

\n

Performs laboratory tests or other laboratory work using conventional and computerized machines and work aids.

\n

\n

Performs laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards.

\n

\n

Determines chemical and physical characteristics or composition.

\n

\n

Sets up, readjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.

\n

\n

Usual requirement is two years of post secondary education in field of specialty; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined

\n

\n

Skills:

\n

• Accurately recording results and observations related to batch making, sample preparation, and panel testing

\n

• Making paint samples using equipment

\n

• Spraying or applying coatings to small test panels

\n

• Measuring properties of wet paint samples and coated panels

\n

• Assisting in application lab with more complex application techniques

\n

• Communicating information to the project leader

\n

• Follows work instructions and test methods

\n

• Routine paperwork for ordering chemical samples, formula samples, etc.

\n

• Maintaining chemical inventories
