Job Opportunity Laboratory Technician
\nA leading organization in the plasma collection and biotechnology sector is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for their facility located in the Monroe and Social Circle area of Georgia. This is a full time position reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, focused on ensuring the integrity of donor testing through precise clinical analysis.
\nIn this role, you will be responsible for executing high and moderate complexity testing in a regulated environment. You will maintain strict adherence to quality control protocols, standard operating procedures, and federal laboratory guidelines including CLIA and GMP standards. Daily activities include managing samples, performing test procedures, reviewing results, and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment.
\nPrimary Responsibilities
\nPerform authorized clinical laboratory tests in accordance with technical training and certifications.
\nHandle specimen processing and reporting of donor results with high accuracy.
\nExecute quality control tasks, including instrument calibrations and maintenance documentation.
\nAnalyze proficiency samples and maintain comprehensive records of all testing activities.
\nIdentify and troubleshoot technical issues that could impact result accuracy or data integrity.
\nEngage in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives like 5S and Kaizen.
\nParticipate in corrective action procedures when test systems deviate from expected performance.
\nCandidate Requirements
\nA Bachelor degree in a biomedical field such as biological sciences, chemistry, medical technology, or clinical laboratory science is required.
\nStrong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
\nAbility to follow detailed written protocols and maintain precise records.
\nProficiency with laboratory software and standard computer applications.
\nHigh level of attention to detail and problem solving capabilities.
\nPreferred Qualifications
\nPrevious laboratory experience or formal clinical training.
\nA degree specifically in Medical Technology.
\nProfessional certification such as MT or MLT from ASCP or an equivalent body.
\nPhysical Requirements
\nThe role requires standing for 6 to 8 hours per shift.
\nAbility to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
\nComfort working with potential bloodborne pathogens while wearing personal protective equipment.
\nCompensation and Benefits
