Laboratory Technician

Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: New York, NY

Compensation: $28.00
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing profiles and supporting perfumers in preparing fragrance compounds in alcohol and/or other applications.
• Prepare product samples to be forwarded to clients, Perfumery, Marketing, Evaluation, Sensory, or for proactive projects.
• Work directly with perfumers to maintain consistent workflow and anticipate daily priorities.
• Compound formulas for perfumers and application sample requests.
• Maintain a continuous supply of raw materials needed for manufacturing.
• Prepare reports and samples ensuring the timely completion of profiles.
• Prepare application lab demos of ancillary products.
• Maintain a neat and organized laboratory notebook documenting sample preparation and other tasks.
• Follow proper safety protocols and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring adherence to quality systems.

Required Skills

• College credits offset by work experience or a Bachelor of Science or related scientific field (preferred).
• Experience with chemical exposure including fragrances; ability to wear personal protective equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to carry out instructions in various formats.
• Ability to multitask, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working collaboratively or independently in a laboratory environment.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, sit, and lift 5-10 lbs as needed.
