Laboratory Technician - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Laboratory Technician for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Millsboro, DE. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role involves maintaining a clean and efficient laboratory environment, preparing reagents, calculating results, and training others on methods and procedures. The ideal candidate will be familiar with good laboratory techniques, including pipetting and weighing, and will adhere to all safety policies requiring Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain reagents, supplies, and calibrated equipment
• Prepare reagents and materials
• Review data and calculate results
• Maintain the cleanliness of the lab
• Communicate schedule, test status, and concerns clearly and accurately
• Write Laboratory Investigations as needed
• Revise pre-existing Standard Methods and SOPs
• Train others on methods and procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with three years of laboratory experience
• Bachelor's degree in a science discipline is preferred
• Experience with Good Documentation Practices, pipetting, and weighing
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve beyond method-defined actions
• Familiarity with good laboratory techniques and the use of autoclaves
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments with varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers
• Ability to spend the majority of time standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Pay range: up to $26.63 per hour
